Cambodia ICT Awards 2020 opens for nomination from now until February 9, 2020.
Cambodia ICT Awards
Cambodia ICT Awards, called CICTA (see – ta), is the largest national ICT awards in the Kingdom of Cambodia organized by National Institute of Posts, Telecoms, and ICT supported by Ministry Posts and Telecommunications with four main objectives:
To provide national recognition for the achievements, innovations, and successes of digital innovation in ICT sector in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
To motivate innovative uses of digital or ICT at all ministries, local private companies, startups, social enterprises, NGOs, and other relevant institutions.
To raise digital awareness and ICT in the public, and bridge the digital gap in the business community, between people living in the provinces and cities, contributing to the development of ICT in the Kingdom of Cambodia.
To give people the opportunity to showcase their achievements in ICT and investment opportunities to become the representative of the Kingdom of Cambodia in regional and global ICT awards.
In 2020, CICTA has six award categories for the best product or service of the year:
Best E-Government service of the year
Products, services, or accomplishments of “state institutions” that use ICT to serve the public and solve problems for citizens.
Best Digital Innovation organization of the year
Products, services, or accomplishments of companies/institutions that innovate and use ICT or digital technologies to make their enterprise business become better, faster, and more efficient by bringing new competitive products and services to the market.
Best Social Innovation of the year
Products, services, or digital accomplishments of private companies or non-government organizations that use ICT to contribute to solve the problems of the public and society.
Best Digital Content Of The Year
Products, services or digital accomplishments of private companies or non-government organizations that use ICT to produce digital content such as videos, games, audio files, etc. which contribute to solving the problems of the people, the public and the society.
Best ICT R&D of the year
Products, services, or accomplishments of companies or institutions in the field of ICT or digital research and development, such as discovering new formulas, new methods, new rules, and new innovations.
Best Tech Startup of the year
Products, services or accomplishments of newly established companies less than 3 years from the date of official registration. Tech Startup has to be a company that has made a breakthrough with new ideas using ICT.
Since 2015, 120 nominees have registered and 31 have won awards.
In 2015, Business Registration Processing System of Ministry of Commerce won the 1st award and the Best E-Government Service of the Year
In 2016, BookMeBus of Camtasia Technology Co., Ltd. won the 1st award and the Best Tech Startup of the Year
In 2017, JAILBREAK THE GAME of DirexPlay Company won the 1st award
In 2018, Morakot VB (Core Banking System) of Morakot Technology company won the 1st award and The Best Privet Sector of the Year
Remarkably, in 2019, 5 nominees won the awards:
- Cambodia Construction App of Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction won the Best E-Government Service of the Year
- WingPay, WingMoney of Wing (Cambodia) Limited Specialized Bank won the Best Digital Innovation Organization of the Year
- Tesdopi of Edemy Company won the Best Social Innovation of the Year
- Muuve of Muuve Company won the Best Tech Startup of the Year
- Jevit project of Demine Robotics won the Best ICT R&D of the Year
